We have added fish attracting lighting and cover for those with a hankering for angling.

Closest resort dock to the Norfork Lake beaches

Norfork Lake Beaches

The really cool thing about a Norfork Lake beach is that you need a boat to get to them. There are no roads. Talk about seclusion. The best approach is a pontoon to “beach” on the beach. No boat?, No problem! We have access to a virtual fleet of rental boats or jet skis through our marine partners.

Sand under your feet, a gentle breeze off the lake, Ozark hardwoods swaying behind you, your favorite song on the radio, the kids building a castle, the dog chasing little fish in the shallows, clear clean blue Norfork Lake water dead ahead. You're on a Norfork Lake beach.

If you’re thinking:

Summer Vacation
Days at the Beach
The Ozark Mountains
Jimmy on the Radio
Norfork Lake

You’re thinking Hand Cove Resort, the gateway to the Hand Cove/Jordan Recreation Areas of Norfork Lake in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains!

Call them whatever you like. Jordan Island, Sand Island, Sandy Beach, Barren Point Beach, Blue House Bluff Beach, they are all the beaches of Norfork Lake’s Hand Cove/Jordan Recreation Areas.

The beaches are the place to be in the summer. There's 6, so close you can see most from the Hand Cove Resort complex.

Early morning strolls, just boat on over.

Watch the sunset, absolutely.

Small campfire, you betcha.

Every thing you need for your day at the beach can be found right here. Pack up a lunch or grab a pizza and slushies from the marina. Whatever your needs, we can give you a hand with it all.

Still not sure? Then take a look out of your window while you read this again. That should do the trick!

Hand Cove Resort Store

No matter how well you plan, there’s always that one item you meant to bring. Chances are good we’ll have it. If you don’t see, just ask. We have stuff, lots of stuff in inventory. And by the way, our guest laundry and ice vending machine are open 24 hours a day for your convenience.

Live Bait and Tackle

Home to Lil' Larry, Hand Cove Resort's bait and tackle shop offers serious equipment for the serious Norfork Lake angler. We do pretty good for you just for fun folks also. Handling Norfork Lake specific tackle only, we are the fisherman's go to dealer on the east shore.

” If we don't have it, they don't eat it.”

There's times when you've just got to wet a line. We take fishing lightly, we're serious about catching.

We carry a wide offering of live and frozen baits; Crappie Minnows, Bass Minnows, Shiner Minnows, Night Crawlers, Red Worms, Chicken Livers. Seasonally; Cricets, Large Bass Minnows, Goldfish, Perch

Hand Cove Park

It's our backyard and the launch point for your incredible Norfork Lake vacation. This scenic 5 acre lakeside park is home to our boat dock, launch ramp, and expansive open play area. The gentle slope of our grass terrace makes for an easy 100 yard walk to about our ¼ mile of natural Ozark Mountain shoreline, perfect for a walk-in swim or maybe a little shoreline fishing.

All this, just a short walk from your cabin or campsite

Look at our park as a grassed natural playground for the kids, all within sight of most of our cabins. They will enjoy exploring the forest treeline or even venturing into it. No worries, they won't get lost. Better yet, take them for a nature walk. It's a great place to exercise the dog too. After all, your pet is one of the kids too, right?

And of course you can drive about a city block into our park also. Pull right up to our dock ramps for loading and unloading. And for those warm summer days there's plenty of shade trees to park under.
