Things To Do
Fishing - Our area of the lake has some of the best fishing Norfork Lake offers. The lake supports largemouth, smallmouth, Kentucky, white, and striped bass, crappie and walleye, blue channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, and sunfish. Norfork Lake stripers typically run 8 to 14 pounds. Stripers and catfish over 25 pounds are not unusual. Three to 5 pound bass are relatively common. The kids love catching crappie and bluegill from our dock.
Sand Island & The Beaches - Norfork Lake's only white sand beaches are 5 minutes away from our resort by boat. The beaches are a favorite place for vacationers to beach their boats, swim, picnic, fish, sun, and build sand castles. Bonfires are a normal happening on the weekends. Hop into your boat (or rent one of ours) and join the fun!
Scuba Diving - This area of Norfork Lake is famous for scuba diving. Jordan Marina, 1/2 mile away by water, has a PADI certified scuba shop with equipment sales, air, service and rentals. They also have maps detailing locations of 29 underwater attractions that are nearby. The underwater visibility is excellent for scuba diving which also makes for good spear fishing. Ask us about a dive site map detailing locations of 29 underwater attractions that are nearby.
Rafting, Tubing, Canoeing, and Kayaking - The North Fork River is a main tributary to Norfork Lake. The river is spring fed, always crystal clear and is perfect for canoes and kayaks, alternating between swift currents and quiet waters. The wildlife is abundant and the scenery is breathtaking. Ask us about local outfitters for equipment rental and float trips.
